Jennifer Martin lives and writes in Leavenworth, Kansas, where there is a river and a prison–one holds and one flows.
Her first chapbook, Terra Incognita, was published by dancing girl press. You can buy a copy of the collection of post-apocalyptic-inspired poems at dancing girl press & studio.
When she’s not busy conjuring imaginary things Jennifer enjoys watching Ancient Aliens, planning meals, baking things and dancing spontaneously (usually in the kitchen) with her daughter. She hopes to someday live somewhere where avocados grow.
Jennifer is currently working on her first novel, Under The Milky Way (working title), a YA fantasy about 17-year-old Sela Sunday learning how to live after a devastating loss in a world where reality is blurred by her ability to enter and alter others’ dreams.
Sometimes Jennifer writes with The Kindred Collective.
She writes experimental flash fiction & poetry at A Warmer Place For Starving.
